Trace's Alter Ego, Luke McBain To Hit Stores November 11 and Other Updates

BlakeShelton.com12 Gauge Comics says that the new comic book series which has its main character Luke McBain, based on the persona of our Trace, is now at the printer and will hit the bookshelves on November 11! Trace is the first country music artist to ever be fictional character in a comic book series. The publishing company said Trace worked closely with developers, so McBain reflects a lot of his own philosophy.
An earlier press release reported he is, of course, a total badass, describing the comic book series as "in the tradition of Walking Tall and Billy Jack".  It's called Luke McBain, and there will be four issues of Trace's character taking back his hometown in Louisiana after returning from a prison sentence for a crime he didn't commit. I believe he was taking the fall for someone he cared about.

For Trace followers this is one piece of memorabilia you do not want to miss out on. For a sneak peak go to 12 Gauge Comics website. It is awsome.

Trace's new duet with Blake Shelton is a real hoot.  You can hear it on Blake's webiste at  http://www.blakeshelton.com/.

Anyone who missed ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition featuring Trace can now view it online at http://abc.go.com/.  My favorite Trace quote "That boys's cheese has slipped off its cracker".

I Had This Plan, Then Fate Showed Its Hand

I have to admit that I have never seen Trace in concert. I've bought tickets - then things happened - my grandmother died, etc. So for all the tickets I have purchased to Trace Adkins concerts, some lucky person has gotten to attend free of charge, thanks to my bad luck.

I am not complaining - for each ticket I have passed on, Trace has gained a new rabid fan. To see him is to love him. I've been told.

In 2009 Trace's concert schedule has not brought him into the lowcountry of South Carolina - from what I've seen, neither will 2010. Therefore, since I will have to travel quite a few miles to see Trace in concert, I decided to choose which city by where I might win a back stage pass.

Low and behold I received an email this week that I had been selected to receive a backstage pass for the concert November 22, in Milwaukee. Yes, one of the northernmost cities in the United States just days before Thanksgiving. My luck is holding.

Imagine the look I received when saying I wanted to fly to Milwaukee the weekend before Thanksgiving in order to see Trace in person? The roundtrip airfair is only $250 and I am only cooking Thanksgiving dinner for 15!

We will see what happens. Still I have to laugh at the irony. Why does fate throw all these obstacles in my way each time I hope to see the big guy live? Let me know what you think. Lucky for me Trace will be around for decades to come and I know I will have the opportunity to hear his beautiful voice time and again.

TRACE ANNOUNCES HUGE NEW TOUR WITH MARTINA MCBRIDE

Below is Trace's announcement for his new upcoming tour with Martina McBride....

The Beverage Company's First Endeavor into Music Delivers a Unique Pairing to Celebrate the Spirit of America Nashville, Tenn. (October 5, 2009) - She's one hot mama and he's a tall drink of water. His rich baritone voice can bring the house down while her soaring, unparalleled vocals lift the roof off. He's garnered legions of fans with his anthems that inspire and champion America's heroes and she's made a name worldwide as a premier female vocalist with hits that entertain, raise awareness and deliver hope.

Together, country music superstars Martina McBride and Trace Adkins have created an exceptional evening flavored with boisterous revelry, sexy romance and honest reflection. With their countless hits and fan favorites combined, fans will be dancing in the aisles to "God-Fearin' Women" and "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," fist waving to the likes of "This One's For the Girls" and "Songs About Me," holding on tight with "I Just Call You Mine"

and "All I Ask for Anymore" and remembering what matters most with "In My Daughter's Eyes" and "You're Gonna Miss This."
Add heartbreak with "Every Light in the House" and "Concrete Angel," a touch of vengeance with "Independence Day" and "Fightin' Words" and this event covers the gamut of emotional release.
The Shine All Night Tour, also sponsored in part by GAC, kicks off November 20th and covers 40 cities across the U.S. through the spring of 2010. Both McBride and Adkins will each perform full-length shows. In a few select cities, Blake Shelton and The Lost Trailers will be joining McBride ensuring that every night will be packed with great music and fun times -- both on stage and in the audience.
"I want fans to leave here knowing they got more than their money's worth,"

says Martina. "My goal is to have this on their list of memorable nights for years to come."

"I think this tour is going to give people a lot more bang for their buck,"

says Adkins. "And that's important --especially in today's economy."

Martina McBride and Trace Adkins are really going all out to promote this tour. Recently, the pair starred in a series of irreverent TV commercials which will be featured on GAC, local television and online. In the spots, the two go for the laughs at their own and each other's expense and demonstrate a chemistry that may surprise those who have never experienced their witty antics and off-handed senses of humor.

In addition to the surprising video clips and commercials, the tour will have a dominant online presence, allowing fans to get involved in the tour.

Visit www.ShineAllNight.com for dates, ticket links, exclusive content, contests and to sign up for updates. For fans engrossed in the Twitter phenomenon, follow the official Twitter feed at ShineAllNight for the latest news, photos and contests.
