Trace and Toby Will Tour Together This Summer!!!!

I am enjoying the stories coming in from various venues about Trace kicking the cigarette habit.  They say he is grumpy...

UNDATED (AP) -- There are two reasons why Trace Adkins gave up smoking at the end of last year. He had a persistent cough that he couldn't shake, and his daughters made him promise to kick the 26-year habit.

More than three months later, it seems that he's still struggling from nicotine withdrawals. Capitol Records President Mike Dungan joked during the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville last week, "If you thought he was grumpy before, you should see him now!"

Well duh!! We all have habits, some of them worse for our health than others. Trace kicked the alcohol habit, what five years ago, now we are piling on the nicotine guilt trip. Please don't tell the man he can't have caffeine which is also not good for you. I am happy Trace has decided not to smoke.  I added my messages to the list of fans engouraging him to kick the habit, and am also expecting a growl from the man because of it. 

Of more newsworthy concern was the report that Trace is getting good marks for his current tongue-in-cheek single, "Marry For Money," at No. 17 on the USA Today Mediabase country singles chart.

Trace will shake things up this summer with Toby Keith on the America’s Toughest Tour. The concert schedule begins June 18 with a date in Holmdel, N.J.

The tour, continues Keith's long association with concert promoter Live Nation, opens June 18 New Jersey with stops planned in Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Buffalo, Washington, DC, Hartford, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, St. Louis, Tampa, Virginia Beach, West Palm Beach and many more.
