After eight weeks “Marry for Money” (written by Dave Turnbull and Jimmy Melton) continues to climb the charts becoming Trace’s official fastest climbing single. It is number 17 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs and 21 on the R&R. Trace’s X:Ten Album peaked at number 7, and is holding at number 27 this week.
Trace chose Michael Salomon again to produce the video for “Marry for Money” which has been shot, but not released. An interview on the set hints that the video will be full of laughs, on par with “I Got My Game” which Salomon also produced.
By the way, after 44 weeks on the charts “You’re Gonna Miss This” is still coming in at 16 on Hot Country Single Recurrents and Trace’s Greatest Hits Volume II which peaked on number 3 on Billboard’s Best Country Albums, is still number 30 after 67 weeks.
