Laying Down A Challenge to Trace's Fan Club - Let's Walk

Registration is now open for the 2009 FAAN Walk for Food Allergy: Moving Toward A Cure! I am challenging Trace's fan club to double its fundraising efforts this year with another "virtual walk".

You all remember that Trace's daughter‚ Brianna, has severe food allergies. It was because of his daughter’s experience that Trace serves as National Honorary Chair of the Walk for Food Allergy: Moving Toward A Cure, which raises awareness and funds for food allergy education and research.

In 2008, Trace appeared on “The Celebrity Apprentice” in an effort to raise awareness of food allergies and support FAAN, an effort that helped them raise more than $2.3 million dollars!

“I know firsthand how important FAAN’s efforts to increase funding for food allergy reseach are,” says Trace. FAAN is the world leader in information about food allergy, a potentially fatal condition that affects approximately 12 million Americans, or one out of every 25, and is rapidly increasing in prevalence.

To register for the FAAN Walk for Food Allergy, please visit their newly redesigned Walk WEBSITE, and sign up for the Walk location nearest you! Can't make it to your nearest Walk? Sign up for Alexander's Hometown, USA, the Online Walk. You can join as an individual, as part of a team, or as a virtual walker.

My 4 yo son, River, was diagnosed with a nut allergy (both peanuts and tree nuts) before the age of one. We were also recently diagnosed with asthma. I started a line of clothing this past fall to make me feel a little safer sending River to preschool, and other special occasions. They are great reminders to caretakers! www.allergyapparel.com
